Horrific Fatal Wrong Way Crash Kills Innocent Driver | Lakeside

04.10.2021 | 4:56 AM | LAKESIDE – The CHP received a report of a wrong-way driver heading east on westbound I-8, just east of Lake Jennings Rd. A few minutes later, there was another report of a traffic accident involving the same car with another vehicle. Other vehicles started to hit debris from the 1st crash and two cars may have also collided due to this incident. The driver (believed to be a male) who was hit was pronounced deceased at the scene. The wrong-way driver (believed to be a male) was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A 12-pack of White Claw Alcoholic Seltzer was seen in the wrong-way drivers’ vehicle. A SIG ALERT was declared and the westbound I-8 was shut down. More information to come.
