- Phoenix Police and Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle vs pedestrian collision at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Bell Road shortly before midnight Thursday night.
- According to Phoenix Police, an adult male was struck by a westbound pickup truck.
- The male was then struck again by a secondary vehicle.
- The victim became lodged under the secondary vehicle (silver 2 door Infinity) and the driver continued driving westbound, dragging the man beneath his vehicle.
- The driver of the 2 door stopped at 17th Avenue and Bell Road after noticing the man under his vehicle.
- The victim was dragged approximately 1050 feet / 0.2 miles down Bell Road.
- Fire crews responded to the scene at 17th Avenue and extricated the man from under the vehicle.
- He was pronounced deceased on scene.
- Both involved drivers remained on scene and are cooperating with investigators.
- Bell Road is closed in both directions between 17th Avenue and 15th Avenue as Vehicle Crimes Unit detectives investigate the incident.
