Homicide Suspect Killed by Officers After Exchanging Gunfire | Simi Valley

04.28.2022 | 8:05 PM | SIMI VALLEY – The Los Angeles Police Department informed the Simi Valley Police Department reference a murder suspect possibly in the city.

At approximately 8:00 pm, officers located a male subject matching the murder suspect’s description in the area of First St and Los Angeles Ave.

Two officers contacted the subject and during the contact, the suspect produced a firearm and shot at the officers.

Both officers returned fire and struck the suspect.

Officers immediately rendered first aid and called for medical assistance.

The Ventura County Fire Department and paramedics arrived on scene and provided medical aid.

The suspect succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Simi Valley Police Department Detective Bureau is actively investigating the incident and will provide additional information as it develops.
