deputies responded to a complex at 505 Cypress Station. Upon arrival, units found a male with multiple gunshot wounds. The adult male was pronounced deceased on-scene. Suspect(s) fled the scene.”
- Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a reported shooting.
- Upon arrival, deputies found an adult Black male inside an apartment with multiple gunshot wounds.
- EMS responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
- The victim is believed to be in his 20s. Family members arrived at the location to assist with confirming his identity.
- Preliminary information indicates the victim came to the apartment complex to visit his girlfriend, who was inside with another female friend.
- An altercation occurred between the victim and another male inside the apartment, which led to the shooting.
- Investigators have not yet determined whether there was an exchange of gunfire or a single shooter.
- The male suspect fled the scene and is described as a dark-skinned Black male possibly wearing a white hoodie, seen leaving in a blue or dark-colored sedan.
- Deputies are interviewing the two witnesses who were inside the apartment to determine the relationship between the victim and the suspect and to clarify the circumstances leading to the shooting.
