Homicide Detectives Investigate Rosemead Stabbing Death

Homicide detectives continued investigating a fatal stabbing in Rosemead on the morning of July 1, 2026.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics responded to the 7500 block of Garvey Avenue after receiving a report of a man down.

Authorities have not released details regarding what transpired after crews arrived, and it remains unclear whether the victim was transported before being pronounced deceased.

According to unverified reports circulating on social media, the victim may have been a homeless man who was well known in the area and was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. Authorities have not confirmed those reports.

Throughout the morning, detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau were seen searching the area for additional evidence while nearby businesses remained closed.

Investigators have not released information regarding a suspect, motive, or the identity of the victim. The Sheriff’s Department Watch Commander advised that additional details could not be released because of the active and ongoing investigation.
