Homeowners Attempt To Extinguish Raging Structure Fire | Wilmington

01.31.2021 | 02:35 AM | LOS ANGELES – LAFD units were dispatched at or around 2:30 Sunday morning to a fire on the 1500 block of N Ronan Avenue in Wilmington. Arriving units found an outdoor fire pit that had gone unchecked re-ignited and spread into some nearby rubble. The fire then extended into the attic of a converted garage. Units were able to immediately extinguish the outside fire, but then began to work on the fire in the attic space. Approximately 30 firefighters arrived to assist.
