Homeless Man Caught On Camera Lighting Car on Fire

DETAILS:
- Firefighters responded to a Buick completely engulfed in flames at the Pacific Grove Apartments.
- They were able to put the fire out before it spread to other vehicles.
- A resident provided video of the male who set the fire.
- He was a homeless male whose vehicle owner had allowed him to stay with her family for several months.
- She told us that she had to kick him out for his ongoing issues.
- The video shows the suspect walking up to the vehicle and using a small sledgehammer to break the driver’s side window.
- He then doused the vehicle with gasoline from a gas can, threw the can inside, and lit the fire.
- The fire exploded inside and blew back, and possibly caused burns to his face. He then ran away, dropping personal items.
- The MAST team is investigating, and local hospitals are being checked for anyone who has burns to their face and/or hands.
