Homeless Fire Explosion In San Diego, CA

 

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4-2-25 7:55 am
LOCATION: NB I-5 under the Coronado Bridge transition ramp
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

 

1.  A fire was burning out of control in a homeless encampment under the I-5/ Coronado bridge during rush hour.
2. Heavy black smoke was coming up on both sides of the on-ramp to the bridge.
3. A Good Samaritan stopped and attempted to extinguish the fire that was spreading into some nearby vegetation.
4. At 1:02 in the video, a propane tank exploded.
5. The Firefighters arrived and were able to out the fire put quickly.
