Home Invasion Foiled by Fierce Family Dogs

DETAILS:

  1. LAPD received reports of a man who tried to gain entry into a home located at 10051 Baring Cross St.
  2. The man tried to open the front door into the home, and at some point, the family dogs came from around the corner of the home and went up to the man and then attacked, biting the suspect in the mouth and possibly the leg.
  3. The homeowner saw the man on surveillance camera attempting to open the door.
  4. The people in the house heard the dogs, and the owner came out to confront the suspect.
  5. The owner fought the suspect and managed to throw him out onto the street, where LAPD officers detained the man.
  6. LAFD was called to transport the suspect to the hospital to be treated for dog bites and other unknown injuries.
  7. LAPD officers at the scene would not comment.
  8. The owner did not want to talk on camera.
