Home Invasion Ends in Deadly Gunfight in Houston

DETAILS:
- HPD responded to a home invasion with three people shot
- Two suspects, one black male, and a black female, wearing masks, entered the residence and got in a gunfight with the homeowner
- Homeowner was an elderly late 70s female who exchanged gunfire with the suspects striking two of them
- Both suspects were transported to area hospitals where one is in critical condition and the other is stable
- The female homeowner lost her life in the gunfight
- Incident being investigated by Homicide division
- There were other people at home at the time, none of whom exchanged gunfire with the suspects
- Unknown what firearms all shooters were using
- Video shows the stable suspect being loaded into the ambulance
- Family (at least two sons) of the mother showed up appearing emotional saying “they shot ma”
