Home Damaged in Possible Arson Attack in Los Angeles
11.18.2020 | 1:00 AM | LOS ANGELES – A home was heavily damaged and arson is believed to be a factor in a Wednesday morning blaze.
Firefighters from the LAFD responded to the 8600 Katherine Ave around 1:00 AM to a reported house on fire.
Firefighters arrived to find fire showing from the rear of a single family dwelling and began immediately attacking the blaze.
Crews located a pile of rubbish on fire that extended into the garage and portions of the house.
One person was removed from the structure however no injuries were reported.
LAFD has requested arson because the home owner believes someone was on the property and started the fire.
LAPD apparently responded to this location earlier Tuesday for an incident as well, making firefighters believe the home was intentionally set by an unknown suspect.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
