Hollywood: Woman Dead After Bizarre Road Rage Crash

01.20.2020 | 11:50 PM | LOS ANGELES – A woman was crushed by her own vehicle  after her passenger attempted to move her vehicle after a road rage crash involving a motorcyclist, late Monday night.

Authorities responded to a bizarre crash in front of an apartment building located in the 1300 block of North Martel Avenue in the Hollywood area shortly before midnight.

Units arriving on scene located a woman, later identified as 26-year-old Sophia Ardalan, crushed under a Mercedes-Benz and pronounced her deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate the Ardalan was involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision with a motorcyclist who followed her to the location.

Both drivers were involved in a short argument when the woman returned to her vehicle and it began to drive away. Somehow Ardalan was ejected from her vehicle as the car crashed into a tree.

Ardalan’s passenger, later identified as 27-year-old Samantha Cunha, got into the driver’s seat of the vehicle and attempted to move the vehicle, crushing Ardalan and killing her in the process.

Cunha then fled the scene on foot but was later located and arrested.

The motorcyclist remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.
