Hollywood: Two Pedestrians Struck By Suspected DUI Driver

08.29.2019 | 11:10 PM | LOS ANGELES – Two people were injured after being struck by a suspected DUI driver, late Wednesday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving two pedestrians near the intersection of Highland and Franklin avenues in the Hollywood area around 11:10 PM.

Units arriving on scene found two victims suffering from injuries after being struck by a vehicle.

Both victims were treated on scene by firefighter paramedics before being transported to area hospitals in unknown condition.

The driver that struck the pedestrians remained on scene and was administered field sobriety tests before being placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI.

Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collison.
