Hit & Run on Fire Hydrant | San Diego

08.16.2022 | 4:32 AM | SAN DIEGO – Someone hit a fire hydrant with their vehicle and fled from the scene.

The hydrant was sheared off of its base and water was shooting approx 20-25 ft into the air.

Water was flooding down into 2 apartment complexes.

Firefighters were having a difficult time shutting the water off.

The City Public Works has arrived to help get the water turned off.

As of 5:15 am, the water is still flowing.
