Hit & Run Crash Results In Fatal Secondary Collision

- On Wednesday, May 3rd, 2023, at about 11:52 PM, CHP received a report of a hit and run on the Northbound 215 Freeway, just South of University Parkway in San Bernardino.
- While dispatchers were talking with the female victim, she stopped answering questions.
- Additional calls reported that a semi-truck had struck the vehicle from the hit-and-run.
- CHP arrived at the scene, located the female unconscious and not breathing, and began CPR.
- County Fire and AMR arrived shortly later and declared her deceased.
- A car seat was located in the victim’s car but luckily, no child was located and was not believed to be in the vehicle
- The female semi-truck driver stayed at the scene and was extremely distraught.
- No other information was provided at the scene.
