Hit-and-Run Crash in South LA Leaves Two Critical

A two-crash crash sent two people to the hospital, both of them critical, after the drivers crashed into each other while racing / speeding, per witnesses. The driver of the Mercedes AMG fled on foot after the crash, leaving his female passenger in the car. She was treated at the scene but not transported. The driver of the Dodge Charger was helped out by LAFD into an ambulance while his passenger remained trapped. It looks as if the passenger was not wearing her seatbelt. LAFD used the Jaws of Life to free the female victim with obvious back and leg injuries. LAPD is investigating the hit-and-run crash.
