Hillside Home Damaged by Flames in Studio City

12.12.2020 | 12:03 AM | STUDIO CITY – A hillside home suffered major damage after a fire broke out Saturday morning.

LAFD responded to reports of a structure fire at the 3700 block of Berry Drive shortly after midnight.

Upon arrival firefighters found a descending hillside home with smoke and fire coming through the attic.

“34 LAFD firefighters extinguished fire in the attic, walls, and floor of a descending hillside home in 32 minutes. Companies inside protected belongings prior to applying water, while firefighters on the roof cut ventilation holes, but left the roofing in place until water was ready to be applied (then pulled the previously cut roofing, opening the hole).
The coordinated effort minimized damage from water, fire, and smoke. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.” Per LAFD
