Hillsborough Officer Shot
INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 2-22-25 3:50 PM
LOCATION: 1600 Floribunda (HPD)
AREA/CITY: Hillsborough
DETAILS:
- A Hillsborough police officer attempted to contact a subject at the police station
- The suspect produced a short rifle type firearm wrapped in a sweater, and fired at the officer before fleeing
- An active manhunt is underway. Air support and SWAT is assisting from San Mateo and Santa Clara counties
- Updated information from HPD reports that an officer was struck by gunfire, and is expected to survive.
- SWAT Operators began searching nearby buildings, Officers also continue to search using thermal drones, as well a helicopter from San Jose Police.
