High Speed Fatal Hit And Run Crash

LOCATION: Florence Ave and Crenshaw Blvd
AREA/CITY: Hyde Park – Los Angeles
DETAILS:
- A black SUV struck a small sedan killing the driver.
- The driver of the SUV possibly took off from the scene.
- Air unit was above coordinating with officers trying to detain possible suspects.
- A man and a woman were taken into custody at the intersection of 71st St and Crenshaw Blvd.
- A MTA bus was also struck at another location by the suspects according to LAPD.
- LAPD has blocked Florence Ave and Crenshaw Blvd until further notice.
- According to a witness at the scene the black SUV was driving at a high rate of speed with another unidentified vehicle following behind before the crash.
- Possible street racing.
