High Speed Crash Breaks Electrical Pole

DETAILS:

1. A man was critically injured after plowing into a power pole, shearing it in half, before crashing into a parked car Tuesday night
2. The vehicle was traveling east on Wardlow Road when for unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and onto a sidewalk, plowing through a power pole
3. The vehicle began catching fire. According to a witness who didn’t want to speak on camera, bystanders came together and utilized extinguishers to put out the fire before it became fully engulfed and attempted to pull the victim out
4. Firefighters arrived and utilized the jaws of life to free the solo driver from the vehicle
5. The driver was rushed to a trauma center in critical condition
6. A street pole was sent flying into the side of a building on the corner of the intersection
7. Police are investigating what led to the crash. No other injuries were reported
