Hesperia: Truck Loses Trailer Filled With Sand On Freeway

04.17.2020 | 3:45 AM | HESPERIA – A trailer from a truck that swerved to avoid striking a stray dog overturned after breaking loose, early Friday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a semi truck that had lost it’s trailer while swerving to avoid striking a dog that was running in lanes on the southbound I-15 Freeway near Main Street around 3:45 AM.

Units arriving on scene found an approximately 3,000-pound trailer filled with sand had overturned into a ditch.

The driver of the truck reported he was headed to San Diego when he saw a dog running in lanes and swerved to avoid hitting the animal.

The trailer disconnected an overturned into a ditch as a result.

No injuries were reported.
