HESPERIA Semi Truck Fire Sig Alert

DETAILS:

 

1. Several Calls came into CHP and Fire regarding a semi truck brakes on fire
2. When Units arrived, the trailer was fully engulfed in flames
3. The driver was able to separate the cab from the trailer
4. CHP arrived to shut down the Interstate 15 freeway
5. CHP called in a sig alert fro 1-2 hours
6. FIRE called to an excavator to assist in overhaul of the burning contents
7. Fire cleared the call at 12:49 today
8. CHP reopened the #1 lane as of 12:40 according to logs
9. Caltrans has been called and cleanup continues with one lane open
