Hemet: Police Investigate After Officer-Involved Shooting

01.02.2019 | 9:00 PM | HEMET – Police were on scene investigating after a pursuit ended in an officer-involved shooting near a liquor store, Wednesday night.

Details were still sketchy but initial reports indicate officers were involved in a brief pursuit that terminated in the parking lot of RJ Liquor at the intersection of Devonshire Avenue and San Jacinto Street around 9:00 PM.

According to witnesses as the scene, a shooting occurred shortly after the ending of the pursuit and resulted in one person being transported.

Officers cordoned off the area while they conducted an hours-long investigation into the incident.
