Heavy Rains Prompt Swift Water Rescue | Riverside

12.23.2021 | 7:35 PM | RIVERSIDE – Riverside Fire Department and Cal Fire Riverside County responded to a swift water rescue call. A man called 911 indicating that his wife was stranded in the river bottom. He indicated that he left about an hour prior and she had stayed, but never came out. Fire fighters water rescue team and RPD Air One went into the river bottom searching for stranded individuals. They searched all tents and 4 people and 3 dogs came out. The woman that they went looking for was never found. RFD cleared the scene and at this time it is not clear where the woman is at, but they believe that she made it out of the river bottom after a thorough search on foot and by air.
