Head-On UBER Driver vs Motorcyclist Collision | San Diego

03.05.2022 | 6:52 PM | SAN DIEGO – The male driver of an UBER with his passengers made a left-hand turn from northbound Mission Blvd towards westbound Pacific Beach Dr and hit a male motorcyclist who was southbound on Mission Blvd. The two collided head-on and the motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital with serious injuries. The Police have shut down both directions of Mission Blvd. UPDATED Fron SDPD: A 31-year-old male was riding a Ducati motorcycle southbound 4100 Mission Bl. A 38-year-old male was driving a Honda Civic northbound 4000 Mission Bl. The motorcycle had a green light and was going through the intersection when the Honda started to make a left turn onto Pacific Beach Dr. The motorcycle and Honda collided in the intersection. The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital with a fractured pelvis and leg. The injuries are non-life threatening. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
