Head-On Collision on PCH in Dana Point Leaves Three Hospitalized

DETAILS: Three people are hospitalized in unknown conditions following a head-on collision on Pacific Coast Hwy in Dana Point.  Units responded to a two-vehicle collision with fire reported just before midnight near the intersection of PCH & Beach Rd, when they arrived they found one vehicle on fire with one person inside and another vehicle on its side with two people trapped inside.  Units from the Orange County Sheriff’s Traffic Enforcement were among the first to arrive on the scene and helped the person out of the burning vehicle first.  That person was quickly transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.  Two other people had to be extricated out of the other vehicle on its side, both were taken to a local hospital in unknown condition as well.  It is unknown if drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash and the Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating and currently have PCH Closed in both directions for an unknown duration.  No further details were made available.
