Hawthorne: Officer Involved Shooting Breaks Out – Caught On Camera

04.07.2019 | 9:20 AM | HAWTHORNE – A shooting involving police officers broke out leaving one officer wounded, Sunday morning.

Officers responded to an unknown type call in the 14400 block of Aviation Boulevard around 9:20 AM.

At some point during the incident officers contacted a male at which point an officer-involved shooting occurred.

One officer was struck by the gunfire and transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

The suspect was eventually detained but the scene of the shooting was closed while investigators responded.

No other details were immediately available.
