Harvard Park: LAPD Officer Injured After Being Shot With Pellet Gun, Suspect Arrested
04.09.2020 | 11:15 PM | LOS ANGELES – A police officer was injured after being shot with a pellet gun by a suspect who later arrested by a SWAT team, late Wednesday night.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division were on patrol when a suspect opened fire on them with a pellet gun near the intersection of 69th Street and Denker Avenue in the Harvard Park area around 11:15 PM.
One officer was struck in his neck by a pellet and the suspect fled on foot.
Additional units arriving on scene quickly established a perimeter surrounding.
A SWAT team also responded to the scene and later located the suspect who was taken into custody without further incident. A weapon was also recovered.
Firefighter paramedics treated the officer on scene before transporting him to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remains under investigation.
