Harbor Gateway: Suspect Dead After Officer-Involved Shooting

05.14.2020 | 12:45 PM | LOS ANGELES – An officer-involved shooting left a domestic dispute suspect dead, Thursday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a domestic dispute at a residence near the intersection of 123rd Street and Menlo Avenue in the Harbor Gateway area around 12:45 PM.

While units were responding the call was upgraded to a “shooting in progress.”

Officers arriving on scene were confronted with an adult male holding a handgun.

An officer-involved shooting ensued and the suspect was struck by gunfire.

The suspect was pronounced deceased on scene and the handgun he was armed with was recovered.

The circumstances surrounding the officer-involved shooting remain under investigation.
