Hadley Street Fully Involved House Fire

DETAILS:

  1. Phoenix Fire crews received reports of a house fire near 15th Avenue and Hadley Street shortly before 4:00 AM.
  2. Crews arrived to find a single story residential structure with heavy smoke and flames showing through the roof.
  3. The blaze was quickly extending to a neighboring multi-residential property east of the fireground.
  4. Crews established a water supply, deployed handlines for fire attack, and balanced the assignment to a working fire.
  5. Residents from the threatened neighboring property were promptly evacuated from their homes as flames extended to a set of storage sheds on the property.
  6. Firefighters were able to achieve a quick knockdown on the main body of fire thanks to an aggressive fire attack.
  7. The burning sheds on the neighboring property were extinguished before flames could extend to the nearby residence and casita.
  8. No injuries have been reported and and fire investigators are currently on scene working to determine how the fire started.

“Firefighters have extinguished a small house fire located near 15th Ave. and Buckeye Rd. Crews arrived on scene just before 4:00AM this morning and found smoke and flames coming from the rear of a home. Firefighters extended hose lines into the structure for fire attack, and a search of the residence. Crews were able to gain fire control and declared the home clear of anyone inside. There were no injuries reported on the fire ground and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. It’s unclear if this is a vacant home as it appears to by unoccupied at this time.”
