Hacienda Heights: Firefighters Rescue Man From Hillside

01.05.2019 | 11:52 AM | HACIENDA HEIGHTS – A hiker was rescued by firefighters after he fell down a hillside, Saturday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a hiker in need of help in the 14200 block of Skyline Drive around 11:52 AM.

Crews arriving on scene located a 49-year-old male down a hillside cradled in a bush and initiated a high-angle rope rescue.

Within 40 minutes a rescuer was lowered and assisted the man to safety.

Firefighter paramedics treated the man on scene before transporting him to an area hospital.
