Gunfire Sends Hundreds Running At Houston Nightclub
At approximately 11:00 p.m. on May 30, 2026, Houston Police officers responded to reports of a large crowd gathering outside a business in the 11400 block of the North Freeway.
According to police, officers found roughly 500 people in the parking lot and another 500 people inside the establishment.
While officers were monitoring the crowd, a firearm was discharged from within the gathering, causing panic among attendees.
Hundreds of people scattered in multiple directions, with many running across the street to a nearby gas station.
Authorities said the incident did not result in a stampede or any known secondary injuries despite the large crowd.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office was called to the scene and ultimately shut down the establishment.
Additional deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Precinct 4 responded to assist in bringing the situation under control.
One officer was reportedly assaulted during the incident but was not injured.
Police detained multiple individuals and continue investigating whether the firearm discharge was intentional or accidental.
