Grand Terrace: Motor Officer Injured After Crashing Into Pickup Truck

10.22.2019 | 2:34 PM | GRAND TERRACE – A motorcycle officer was airlifted to a hospital after crashing into a pickup truck, Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving an Ontario Police Department motor officer on the southbound I-215 Freeway near Barton Road around 2:34 PM.

Units arriving on scene located the Ontario Police department motor officer down after striking the rear of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.

Firefighter paramedics transported the downed officer to an area hospital via helicopter with moderate to minor injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
