Granada Hills: Violent Crash Leaves One Dead, Another Trapped

01.18.2020 | 12:40 AM | LOS ANGELES – A violent crash left one person dead and another trapped, early Saturday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a rollover crash in the 10700 block of Woodley Avenue in the Granada Hills area around 12:40 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a vehicle on its side with two victims trapped inside.

Firefighter paramedics used the jaws of life and other tools to quickly free one of the trapped occupants before transporting her to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition.

The second occupant was pronounced deceased on scene.

Initial reports indicate the solo vehicle was traveling at high speeds when the driver lost control and crashed into several parked cars.

An investigation is ongoing.
