Granada Hills: Two Dead, One Injured After Crash Into Trash Truck
11.20.2019 | 1:44 PM | LOS ANGELES – Two people were dead and another was injured after a car slammed into the back of a trash truck, Wednesday evening.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with a possible entrapment in the 14100 block of San Fernando Road in the Granada Hills are around 1:44 PM.
Units arriving on scene located a white vehicle that had collided with the rear of a trash truck causing two individuals to become trapped.
A third patient was able to free himself from the wreckage without the help of firefighters and was immediately transported to an area hospital unknown condition.
Firefighters used the jaws of life and other power tools to free the two trapped patients before transporting them to an area hospitals.
Two of the three victims later succumbed to their injuries at area hospitals.
The driver of the trash truck was uninjured.
