Granada Hills: Metrolink Strikes SUV Injuring Driver

08.20.2019 | 1:58 PM | LOS ANGELES – A Metrolink train struck an SUV injuring at least one person, Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a Metrolink train in the 14800 block of San Fernando Road in the Granada Hills neighborhood around 1:58 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a Metrolink train that had struck an SUV on the tracks.

One person, reportedly the driver of the SUV, was injured and had to be transported by firefighter paramedics to a nearby hospital.

Nobody aboard the train was inured however the crash resulted in significant delays to railroad traffic.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway.
