Granada Hills: Car Crashes Into AAA Driver Assisting Disabled Vehicle

08.15.2019 | 11:00 PM | LOS ANGELES – A AAA Roadside Assistance driver was injured after being struck by a car while he assisted a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of a freeway, Thursday night.

The California Highway Patrol along with AAA responded to reports of a disabled vehicle on the westbound SR-118 Freeway just east of Reseda Boulevard in the Granada Hills area around 11:00 PM.

The AAA driver arriving on scene pulled to the shoulder with the disabled vehicle before being struck by a passing silver Lexus.

Firefighter paramedics treated the AAA driver on scene before transporting him to an area hospital.

Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
