Gorman: Post Fire Scorches 200+ Acres Along I-5 Freeway

08.02.2020 | 6:54 PM | GORMAN – Over 200 acres were scorched by a wildfire that broke out along the I-5 Freeway, Sunday night.

Authorities responded to reports of vegetation fire burning in along the I-5 Freeway at Gorman Road around 6:54 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a wind-driven brush fire that quickly scorched 200 acres before its spread was contained.

One vacant home was destroyed by the fire but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
