Good Samaritans Save Man Trapped Under Burning Motorcycle

LOCATION: SB I-805 to 47th St/Palm Ave exit
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

1. For unknown reasons, a male motorcyclist crashed towards the bottom of the off-ramp
2. The male was pinned under the motorcycle when the bike caught on fire.
3. The male was engulfed in flames.
4. 2 Good Samaritans went to the victim and started to use their clothing to put the flames out on the male.
5. They were able to get him across the ramp as the motorcycle continued to burn.
6. The fire spread to the nearby vegetation.
7. Firefighters arrived and started to tend to the man’s injuries as other firefighters started to put the vegetation fire out.
8. The victim was transported to the UCSD Burn Center with 2nd and 3rd-degree burns to his entire body.
9. His riding suit melted to his body.
