GKN Aerospace Hosts Community Meeting Over Garden Grove Evacuation

Garden Grove residents and business owners affected by a May evacuation were invited to a community meeting Tuesday evening to discuss compensation, safety concerns, and the future of GKN Aerospace’s local facility.

The meeting was scheduled for October 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Delta Hotels Anaheim Garden Grove, located at 12021 Harbor Boulevard.

GKN Aerospace organized the meeting to provide information about its court-approved claims program, which began accepting submissions at noon Tuesday.

The program makes up to $100 million available for qualifying expenses and losses connected to the May evacuation.

Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein called for transparency from the company, emphasizing that affected residents deserve answers about compensation and how GKN plans to operate safely moving forward.

The meeting also included planned updates on facility operations and safety improvements, followed by an opportunity for residents to ask questions and speak directly with company representatives.
