Girl Dressed in Halloween Costume Causes Major Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 4:00 am 11-1-25
LOCATION: 5 FWY/ Indiana St Exit
AREA/CITY: Boyle Heights
DETAILS:

1. a bout 5 cars were involved in a horrible traffic collision on the Southbound 5 freeway.
2. Good Samaritans stopped their cars and rushed to help one of the victims, who was not breathing. The good Samaritans began CPR while the man’s girlfriend looked on helplessly.
3. LAFD arrived shortly after and took over.
4. LAFD transported the man in serious condition to the hospital.
5. A woman dressed in a Halloween costume was driving the blue sedan that rear-ended the white sedan. She was given a few DUI tests at the scene.
6. Other vehicles involved in the crash are the cause of the initial crash when the blue sedan struck the white sedan. Those people were not transported to the hospital.
7. The woman in the costume driving the blue sedan that crashed into the white sedan was arrested for possible DUI
