Gas Pump Catches Fire After Being Hit During Crash

LOCATION: Laurel St & Pacific Hwy
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

1. A male driver and his female passenger were westbound on Laurel St when. he had a seizure.
2. He lost control of the vehicle and hit another car being driven by a male.
3. His vehicle then went into a Shell gas station and hit a gas pump.
4. The gas pump became dislodged and flew across towards another gas pumping station, and it was on fire.
5. The gas station employee called 911 and hit the emergency shut-off button for the gas pumps.
6. The male victim was taken to a local hospital for his seizure.
7. No one else was injured.
8. The intersection is closed at this time.
