Garden Grove: Bomb Squad Searches Car Suspected To Have Explosive Material Inside

06.30.2020 | 6:45 PM | GARDEN GROVE – A bomb squad searched a vehicle suspected of containing explosives but did not locate any, Tuesday evening.

Authorities descended on a vehicle suspected of containing explosive materials in a parking lot in the 9000 block of Westminster Avenue, near Flower Street, around 6:45 PM.

Units arriving on scene secured the vehicle, reportedly owned by a parolee who made threats on social media, and used specialized equipment to clear the vehicle.

No explosive material was located but the man who made the threats was taken into custody.
