Fully Loaded Cement Truck Sinks into the Street

DETAILS:

1. Construction work is being done at an apartment complex clubhouse with cement being poured.
2. A cement truck driver backed into the work site and drove over Steel Plates in the street.
3. The steel plates gave way, and the truck descended into the large trench.
4. Besides the truck’s heavy weight, it is fully loaded with 10,000 pounds of cement.
5. The recent rains eroded the sides of the trench, and the plates gave way.
6. The driver was transported to a local hospital with an injury to his back.
7. The street is blocked until the cement truck can be lifted from the hole.
