Fullerton: Man Critically Injured After Being Hit By Car

03.23.2020 | 8:01 PM | FULLERTON – A man was seriously injured after being struck by a car while jaywalking, Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Commonwealth Avenue and Pomona Street around 8:01 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male pedestrian down in the roadway suffering from major injuries after being struck by a vehicle.

Firefighter paramedics transported the man to UCI Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Initial reports indicate the man was not in a crosswalk when he was struck.

The driver that struck the man, a female adult, remained on scene and was cooperating with law enforcement.

Police said the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
