Fullerton: Elderly Woman Stabbed Over 15 Times During Burglary

11.16.2018 | 10:27 PM | FULLERTON – An elderly woman was hacked down by an assailant who police quickly caught, Friday night.

Police and fire officials responded to the 2300 block of Iris Court shortly before 10:30 PM regarding reports of a woman down.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 63-year-old female suffering from more than 15 lacerations all over her body.

Firefighter paramedics treated the female on scene before transporting her to UCI Medical Center in serous, but stable condition.

The suspect, 23-year-old Terele Jones, of Anaheim, was quickly apprehended nearby thanks to vigilant patrol officers.

Officers located the Jones on the Magnolia Avenue bridge over the I-5 Freeway during an area search and discovered he possessed the possible stabbing weapon.

Jones was arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide and burglary.

The motive behind the stabbing remained under investigation however the incident may have stemmed from an attempted home invasion or break-in.
