FSP Tow Truck Driver Saves Woman in Fiery Crash | San Ysidro
08.10.2022 | 7:30 AM | SAN YSIDRO – A witness told us that the female driver of the Toyota 4Runner lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons as she was transitioning from the westbound I-905 to the northbound I-5.
Her Toyota went head-on into a eucalyptus tree.
4 good Samaritans stopped to try and help the woman by extricating her, but she was trapped.
The Engine then caught on fire and the Good Samaritans started to throw dirt on the vehicle, but the flames were getting larger.
A Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) Tow truck driver stopped and was able to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher, thus saving her life or at least major burns.
The Firefighters arrived and were able to extricate the female.
She was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
