Four Hospitalized In 5-Vehicle Crash On 10 Freeway

Four people were hospitalized, including one with major injuries, following a five-vehicle collision early Monday morning on the 10 Freeway in Fontana.

The crash was reported at approximately 1:58 a.m. on September 7, 2026, on the westbound 10 Freeway at Etiwanda Avenue.

CHP officers, San Bernardino County firefighters, Ontario firefighters and paramedics responded and found five vehicles involved in the collision. One person was trapped inside a heavily damaged vehicle, while three additional victims required medical attention.

Firefighters extricated the trapped victim, who was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. Three other people were also hospitalized with injuries of unknown severity.

All westbound lanes were blocked for more than an hour while CHP investigated the collision and crews worked to clear the scene.

The cause and circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
