Forklift Operator Crushed by His Own Forklift | San Diego

06.28.2021 | 5:57 AM | SAN DIEGO – A worker told us that the male driver of a small forklift was driving too fast and not wearing the seatbelt when he took a corner too fast and was thrown as the forklift tipped over.

The victim was crushed underneath and Firefighters rushed to get the male out from under the forklift. The male was rushed to a local hospital and may have been medivaced from Brown Field by an Air Ambulance. The male was in CPR status and was not expected to live.

The Police are guarding the scene until CalOSHA arrives. OTAY Sales rents and sells heavy equipment to other companies and this was in their work yard.
