Fontana: SWAT Stand-Off After Officers Use Flash-Bang Device
04.08.2019 | 1:50 AM | FONTANA – A hours-long SWAT stand-off was over after officers used a flash-bang device to make entry into an apartment, Monday morning.
Officers responded to reports of a man throwing objects and acting erratically inside an apartment in the 8500 block of Citrus Avenue around 1:50 AM.
Units arriving on scene discovered the man had barricaded himself inside an apartment and request SWAT and crisis negotiators respond to the scene.
After hours of negotiation, SWAT officers deployed a flash-bang device and made entry into the suspect’s apartment.
The male was taken into custody without further incident and transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
